Friday marks the first open competition of the 2012-13 season
As a Freshman (2013): Competed in first collegiate meet and earned a 9.700 against NC State, New Hampshire and Towson (2/8) on bars.
Before Maryland: Competed for Hills Gymnastics in Gaithersburg, Md., for 12 years...qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals her sophomore and junior years of high school...placed in the top six at regionals her junior year of high school...won numerous individual and team state championships.
Personal: Daughter of John and Karen Philbin...one younger brother J.C...four- year honor roll member in high school...volunteered through her church in high school...idolized Dominique Dawes growing up...plans to major in kinesiology...aspires to be a physical education teacher...also recruited by Rutgers and Towson.
