Honored Terps
In 2012,
Ashleigh Crutcher became the sixth Terrapin all-time to be named a AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and the first Terp to receive the honor since Jade Brown in 2007.
Led by 1997 ACC Player of the Year Eden Kroeger, who was also an Academic All-American and Weaver-James-Corrigan Scholar-Athlete Award winner, Maryland placed six members on the ACC 50th Anniversary Team in 2002. Maryland was represented by Colleen Hurley, Nicole Lantagne, Sherry Smith, Eden Kroeger, Elizabeth Efron and Daune Koester. Under the guidance of former head coach Janice Kruger, the Terrapins won five ACC titles and a regular season title in 1997. Maryland has earned seven NCAA Tournament berths and in 1997 became the 10th Division I volleyball team in history to record a perfect regular season (25-0).
