Head Coach Tim Horsmon
Tim Horsmon became only the third coach in Maryland volleyball history in February 2008, coming to College Park, Md., after five extremely successful seasons at the University of Dayton.
Horsmon's collegiate career record ranks among some of the greatest starts in NCAA history. In his first nine seasons as a NCAA Division I head coach, his teams earned eight trips to the NCAA Tournament, eight conference championships (including a 17-1 record in conference tournament play), and a tremendous 225-93 overall record. His teams amassed an amazing 93-10 record (.903) in conference regular-season matches while at Dayton and Robert Morris.
Over his four seasons at Maryland, Horsmon has continually recruited top talent to College Park with two players, Mary Cushman (2010) and Adreene Elliott (2011), earning ACC-All Freshman honors. In addition, Horsmon's last four recruiting classes have all received Highest Honorable Mention honors from PrepVolleyball.com.
