On Lynch: Third-year fullback who established himself as one of the top players in the ACC at his position in 2001 … enters this season in the best shape of his career … has not lost weight, but has added muscle to his already big frame in the offseason … a big, strong back with good hands … is a good runner for a player his size (271 pounds) … an imposing force as a blocking back … is the starter at a fullback position that likely is the deepest unit on the team.
2001 (Sophomore): Played in all 11 games (plus the Orange Bowl), starting all but four … rushed 16 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns … was not thrown for a loss all season … also caught seven balls for 53 yards … averaged 8.1 yards per carry, best among Terps with 10 carries or more ...
