Terps Lead After Day One at ODU/OBX Invitational

POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team is tied for first out of 16 teams after day one at the ODU/OBX Invitational Sunday at the Kilmarlic Golf Course in Powells Point, N.C. All five Terrapins finished within four strokes of the par-71 course on the day.

Senior Connor Tendall and sophomore Victor Fox both went two-over with scores of 73 to finish tied for 12. Freshman David Kocher and junior Tom Harris both went three-over to land in the top 20.

Senior Ben Warnquist went four-over with a score of 75 to finish tied for 29th on the leaderboard.

The Terrapins are tied with Drake for first in the team competition. Old Dominion, Drexel, Delaware, Hartford, Marshall, James Madison, George Mason, Longwood, South Dakota, Campbell, Nebraska-Omaha, Savannah State, Saint Francis (Pa.) and UMES are also competing.

The teams will compete in round two Monday and round three Tuesday.

There is no live scoring for the ODU/OBX Invitational, but scores will be posted at umterps.com.
