COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland head football coach Randy Edsall visited with students and fans at the ninth annual Crab Feast, presented by the Student Government Association, Dining Services and Maryland Athletics, on Wednesday evening.
A strong turnout of 650 members of the campus community enjoyed more than 2,500 crabs.
Junior Bryan Farrell, director of the student government association traditions commission, was excited about the turnout and the enthusiasm on campus.
“We appreciate the strong partnerships we have on campus,” said Farrell. This is a great tradition that everyone looks forward to and it was nice to have Coach Edsall join us prior to the big game.”
The big game is on Saturday at noon at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium, when Maryland hosts No. 20 Ohio State in its inaugural Big Ten home opener.
Junior Rosy Shrestha, who enjoyed eating delicious crabs and visiting with her friends at the feast, will be in attendance on Saturday.
“We are all really excited,” said Shrestha. “I'm feeling a lot of Maryland Pride right now.”
