University Park, Pa. - The Maryland women's golf team will continue its fall season when it travels to the Nittany Lion Invitational beginning Friday.
The 14-team field includes host-school Penn State, Akron, Bucknell, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Harvard, Marshall, Old Dominion, Princeton, Western Michigan, William & Mary and Yale.
Maryland's lineup will be Juliet Vongphoumy, Alexandra Papell, Kavita Sehmi, Panitta Yusabai, Jessica Gregory, and Heidi Baek.
Tee time is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday. The Penn State Blue Course is a Par 72, 6,328-yard course.
The Terrapins are coming off a fourth place finish at the Forest Oaks Fall Classic.
Juliet Vongphoumy led Maryland with a three-round score of 221 (75-75-71), which tied her for seventh place overall.
Alexandra Papell followed right behind Vongphoumy with a score of 222 (70-74-78), tying her for ninth place. Kavita Sehmi finished tied for33rd with a score of 231 (79-74-78).
Following the Nittany Lion Invitational, the Terps will compete in the JU Classic in Ponte Verda, Fla. on Oct. 13.
