
Baek Paces Terps at Nittany Lion Invite Friday

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Heidi Baek led the Maryland women's golf team on day one of the Nittany Lion Invitational Friday.
Baek posted a +1 with a score of 73 in the opening round. She is currently tied for fifth place heading into action on day two Saturday.
Alexandra Papell and Juliet Vongphoumy, followed Baek, currently tied for 19th and 27th, respectively. Papell shot a +4 with a 76 while Vongphoumy posted a +5 with a 77.
Jessica Gregory notched an 80 on the day and is tied for 49th place while Panitta Yusabai tallied an 86. Freshman Kavita Sehmi recorded a 93.
Maryland is in sixth place after the first round, sandwiched between Princeton and Akron, with a 306. Yale is leading the group with a 296.
The Terps begin round two on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
