
Solomon Eye Terp of the Week: Katie Gerzabek

Each week during the 2014-15 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is senior captain Katie Gerzabek of the Maryland field hockey team.

Senior captain Katie Gerzabek of the second-ranked Maryland field hockey team has been selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week for her exceptional play over the weekend. Gerzabek led the Terrapins to a 6-0 rout of Ohio State in their first home Big Ten contest and a 3-1 win over No. 18 Old Dominion.
She tallied two goals and two assists in the Terps' 6-0 victory over Ohio State in their inaugural Big Ten home game. She also fired five shots on goal in the contest.
In Maryland's 3-1 victory over Old Dominion, Gerzabek notched one assist and registered one shot on goal.
She now has two goals and a team-leading 11 assists on the year.
The No. 2 Terrapins return to action when they host No. 9 Penn State Friday for a 3:30 p.m. matchup that will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network.
