
Terps Set for ACC Women's Golf Championship

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team will travel to Greensboro, N.C., for its final Atlantic Coast Conference Championship April 17-19 at the Sedgefield Country Club.
The Terps are coming off their finest performance of the year with a fifth-place finish at the highly-competitive Web.com Intercollegiate April 7-8. The Terps racked up a three-round score of 883, one stroke shy of fourth-place UCF. After posting a 295 and 290 in the first two rounds, Maryland capped the tournament with a 298 in third round play Tuesday.
Juliet Vongphoumy set a Maryland women's golf program record, shooting 8-under par en route to a second place finish in the tournament. Other competitors for the Terps this weekend include Emily Gimpel, Heidi Baek, Jessica Gregory and Alexandria Papell.
Maryland begins action with an 8 a.m. tee time on Thursday. Friday's action begins at 8 a.m. with Saturday's final round kicking off at 8:30 a.m.
