
Vongphoumy Named to All-ACC Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland junior Juliet Vongphoumy was tagged to the 2014 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golf Team, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Vongphoumy – a two-time All-ACC honoree - led the Terps in 2014. The Providence, R.I., native boasted a team-best 15th-place individual finish at the 2014 ACC Championships and paced the Terps in scoring average for a second-consecutive season.
Vongphoumy also set a school record with an 8-under par performance of 208 at the Web.com Intercollegiate.
Duke sophomore Celine Boutier was voted the ACC Women's Golfer of the Year in balloting among the league's 11 head coaches. Duke's Yu Liu was voted the ACC Women's Freshman Golfer of the Year, and Dan Brooks gave the Blue Devils a sweep of the conference's major awards with his selection as ACC Women's Golf Coach of the Year for the 14th time.
