COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Big Ten Conference announced its volleyball television coverage schedule Monday, with the Maryland volleyball team slated to appear on the Big Ten Network and BTN Plus at least 14 times this season. Click here for season ticket information.

“The benefit of being in the Big Ten Conference is it values the sport of volleyball at a really high level,” said head coach Steve Aird. “It's one of the premier volleyball conferences in the nation and I'm really happy our fans will be able to see 14 of our 18 conference matches this season through the BTN platform.”

The Terrapins are set make their inaugural Big Ten Network debut on Tuesday, Oct. 21, when they host fellow Big Ten newcomer Rutgers at 8 p.m. The Maryland volleyball team is also proud to announce the match will be played in Ritchie Coliseum – the team's first appearance in the historic arena since 2002.

“For me, it was important to return to Ritchie Coliseum as a tribute to the program and the great history of the arena,” Aird said. “Ritchie is just steps away from Fraternity Row and I'm really excited to get the Greek Community involved. I think it's going to be an energetic environment with a soldout crowd and I'm thrilled to get the opportunity to show everybody in the country the positive direction of the program.”

Maryland will also appear on BTN Plus – the network's recently launched subscription-based platform – 13 times this season, including away matchups against Illinois, No. 12 Minnesota, No. 6 Wisconsin, Ohio State, No. 8 Purdue, No. 7 Nebraska and Iowa. In total, BTN will provide coverage for over 100 women's volleyball matches across all platforms, airing on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings from late August through late November.
