
Terps Wrap Day Two of Cougar Classic Monday

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Juliet Vongphoumy continues to pace the Maryland women's golf team as they look to advance in the team standings when action at the Cougar Classic wraps up Tuesday.
After posting a 72 Sunday, Vongphoumy notched a 75 on Monday, slipping to 38th after entering the day tied for 17th.
Alexandra Papell struggled in the first round but shaved 10 strokes off her first round score with a 71 on Monday. She enters the final round tied for 70th (152).
Freshman Kavita Sehmi is tied for 89th (155) after posting an 80 in the second round. Panitta Yusabai and Jessica Gregory followed Sehmi with an 81 and 86 on Monday, respectively.
Arkansas took the team lead after two rounds, shooting a 284 on the day for a 567 through Monday.
