Assistant Coach - Track & Field

Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division I Track & Field program that competes at the highest level. The coaching responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the horizontal jumps and multi-events. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, program administration, fund raising, community service, and alumni outreach. Recruitment of strong student-athletes that support the program objectives and compliment the Big Ten conference is essential. The Assistant Coach will be expected to develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. The Assistant Coach will possess a strong knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required along with 2-3 years of NCAA coaching experience in horizontal jumps or multi-events. Knowledge of and adherence to NCAA and Big Ten conference rules as well as University policies. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email. Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 2-3 years of NCAA Division I coaching experience in horizontal jumps or multi-events preferred.
