Hey Terps Fans!
This past week was very exciting! The season officially begun and we had our Inaugural Beauty and the Beast meet with the wrestling team! Having both a gymnastics meet and a wrestling meet happening at the same time was a lot of fun and the turnout was awesome.
We were able to do some promotional activities with the wrestling team. It was great to hang out with the boys on the wrestling team and it was nice to have their support during our meet.
Starting on vault and earning a 48.975 was a great way to start the meet!! Kathy had a huge full earning top spot and it was great to see Katy back out there competing! Although we hit a bumpy road throughout the meet we kept on fighting and never backed down.
After a couple miscues on bars and beam, senior Karen Tang and Stephanie Giameo were able to get the team back on track.
Heading into floor we did not give up. The crowd got into it and really got the team going. We had some newbies in the line up; Leah Slobodin, Nikki Dragon and Dominiquea Trotter debuted their first floor routine in front of families, friends and fans. It was great to see their hard work pay off.
The Terps are back in the gym and getting ready for our first meet against a Big Ten opponent. We will compete against Minnesota Thursday at 7pm in the XFINITY Center. Come support your terps!
