TERPS Leadership Academy to Host Seminar Monday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland athletics department's TERPS Leadership Academy will be holding its first athletics' Academy seminar: “What is Effective Leadership?” on Monday, Feb. 2, in Heritage Hall from 6-7:30 p.m.
Featuring Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson as the keynote speaker, the event will hold discussions about the traits of effective leaders and followers in addition to activity reflecting individual assessment and team impact.
Maryland's highest-achieving student-athletes have been invited to attend the event as an opportunity to enhance personal, career and leadership skills.
“I have always enjoyed the opportunity to engage in an open dialogue with our student-athletes,” Anderson said. “They are exemplary student-athletes who have taken the initiative to become better leaders both in the classroom and on the playing field.”
