Associate AD of Ticket Sales & Operations

The Associate AD of Ticket Sales & Operations will oversee and manage the day-to-day ticket operations within the Athletic Ticket Office and ensure appropriate and effective transparency and communication of operations in all ticket office functions including communication with athletics department leadership. Responsible for strategic and budget planning to increase revenue generation; maximizing ticket revenue and attendance for the athletic department's ticketed events and for exploring new partnerships and initiatives to achieve this goal; confer and recommend to administrators and institution officials ticket policies, prices, and sales procedures; establish long-range financial objectives to meet strategic goals of the Department; compile and analyze all financial data regarding the annual ticket office budget, ticket revenue, game settlements, and audits for all events; prepare and interpret the results of ticket sales relative to goals and objectives; supervise full-time, part-time and game day staff and oversee the service and retention team as well as serving as the liaison with an outbound sales team; develop customer service initiatives that coincide with the department's philosophy of providing outstanding service to all fans, donors, and students and promoting the Maryland Way; collaborate with the ICA marketing sales staff, as well as external constituencies, ensure strict adherence to the NCAA and Big Ten Conference rules regarding all complementary ticket admissions for staff, student-athletes and prospects; oversee the annual priority seating system for football, men's basketball and women's basketball as well as priority parking assignments for football and men's basketball in terms of renewal cycles, requests for upgrades and additional seat requests as they pertain to the annual Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund; oversee all football game day ticket operations including home, away and post-season competitions; represent the Department on various ICA, Campus and Conference committees; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required along with a minimum of 7 years of experience including a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experienced required. Strong organizational skills. Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments in a fast-paced work environment. Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as well travel as required by the position. Strong working and management knowledge of Paciolan ticket software experience to include E-Venue, PacMail, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and administrative reporting preferred. Knowledge of NCAA, University and State rules and regulations preferred.
