Assistant Director of Marketing

The Assistant Director of Marketing will work as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletics marketing staff, and be under the direct supervision of the Assistant AD for Marketing. This individual will oversee marketing plan development and implementation, ticket sales, sponsor activation and game presentation for Men's Soccer and Men's Lacrosse with a key focus on maximizing ticket revenue, increasing fan attendance and enhancing the Maryland Athletics brand. Additional responsibilities include: assist with game day operations, fan development and revenue generation initiatives for Football, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball; manage student internship program; supervise Olympic sport student interns and oversee marketing plan execution for Wrestling and Men's and Women's Track and Field; assist with various other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD for Marketing.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, experience, and training required. Minimum of two (2) years of sports marketing experience required. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Photoshop and PACmail required. Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends. Minimum of two (2) years of sports marketing experience at the NCAA Division I or professional sports level preferred.
