Assistant Coach - Track & Field

Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division I Track & Field program that competes at the highest level. This position will report to the head coach for event responsibilities in the jumps and multi events as assigned. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, program administration, fundraising, community service, and alumni outreach. The Assistant Coach will be expected to develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, and the general public. The Assistant Coach will possess a strong knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required along with Level I Track & Field certification. Experience working with a NCAA Division I collegiate program required. This is considered an entry level position designed to coexist with the current staffing structure. Individual must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email. Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment are critical skills. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of an adherence to NCAA and Big Ten conference rules as well as University policies. Experience working with a NCAA Division I collegiate program in the events of jumps and/or multi-events preferred.
