COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Each week during the 2015-16 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Brionna Jones of women's basketball.

Jones was named Tournament MVP of the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas this weekend, after leading Maryland to three straight wins in the event. She had a double-double all three games and averaged 17.7 points and 13.0 rebounds. The Terrapins beat two NCAA Tournament teams in South Dakota State and Pittsburgh, thanks in large part to Jones. Against the Jackrabbits, Jones helped score Maryland's first 15 points to get off to a great start. As the Jackrabbits battled back through the second and third quarters, Jones responded with back-to-back buckets down the stretch to seal the win. Against the Panthers, Jones scored eight of Maryland's first 10 points to get the Terrapins to a lead they would never relinquish.
