COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After a fun-filled trip to Pinehurst last week, the Maryland women's golf team heads to Johns Island, S.C., for the Briar's Creek Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The Terps will join Boston College, Campbell, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Miami (Fla.), Michigan State, Penn State, South Florida and Texas Tech as teams in the field. The tournament will be held at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek – a par 72 course (6,101 yards).
Both days will have a shotgun start of 8:45 a.m., with 36 holes of continuous play on Monday and a final 18 on Tuesday.
The Terps lineup for this week's action will be Juliet Vongphoumy, Heidi Baek, Brooke Kochevar, Panitta Yusabai and Jessica Gregory.
Vongphoumy led the Terps in their first tournament of the spring at tthe 3M Lady Jaguar Classic. The senior finished in 15th place with a total score of 223 (+10). Baek took 35th with a 230 (+17).
