
Seven Make NFHCA National Academic Squad

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Seven members of the Maryland field hockey team were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad and as a team, the Terrapins earned a National Academic Team honor.
Brooke Adler, Anne-Floor Jansen Van Galen, Delaney Leathers, Welma Luus, Steffi Schneid, Sarah Sprink and Maddy Ulery were all named to the National Academic Squad.
The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester.
Adler, Leathers, Luus, Schneid and Sprink were named to the All-Big Ten Academic Team as well.
As a team, the Terps posted a GPA above 3.0 to be named a National Academic Team by the NFHCA.
Maryland went 19-4 this year won the Big Ten regular season title with a 7-1 conference record. The Terrapins made their 20th straight NCAA Tournament appearance – which is the longest active streak in the country.
