Baek Paces Terps at Nittany Lion Invite Friday

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. - Heidi Baek led the Terps with a 72 in the first round on day one of the Briar's Creek Invitational on Monday.

Baek is currently tied for fourth place. Juliet Vongphoumy, who finished 15^th at the 3M Lady Jaguar Classic in the Terps' last outing, is tied for 12^th after posting a 74 in first round action Monday.

Jessica Gregory (82), Panitta Yusabai (84) and Brooke Kochevar (85) also competed for the Terps.

Maryland – which is currently in 13^th place ahead of Big Ten opponents Michigan State, Illinois and Indiana – will wrap up action on Tuesday.
