COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team returns to action after its best showing of the season when it travels to Columbus for the Lady Buckeye Spring Invite Saturday and Sunday.
Maryland will join Akron, Illinois, Indiana, Indianapolis, Iowa, Kansas State, Kent State, Michigan, Michigan State, Toledo and host Ohio State at the two-day, three-round tournament.
Juliet Vongphoumy was named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week last week after carding a three-round, two-under par score of 214 (72-74-68) to finish tied for third at the Rebel Intercollegiate on the campus of Ole Miss. The Terps finished seventh in the highly-competitive field.
The lineup for this weekend's tournament is Vonphoumy, Heidi Baek, Brooke Kochevar, Panitta Yusabai, Jessica Gregory and Kavita Sehmi.
Saturday's action will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The tournament will be held on the Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club – a par 72, 6,268-yard course.
