Terps Take Second at Wolfpack Spring Open

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team went even on the weekend to finish second out of 11 teams in the Wolfpack Spring Open at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club this weekend. Junior Tom Harris finished tied for sixth in the standings.

Harris went four-under par in Saturday's first round with a 68, then went even in Sunday's second round with a 72 for a combined score of 140.

"A good solid week for our guys this week," head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "I'm certainly encouraged by Tom Harris's play. He's been close all year and it's good to see him get a great tournament under his belt. We head to the Big Ten Championships Wednesday and we are encouraged with all of our guys playing well."

Senior Connor Tendall also went even in Sunday's final round, after shooting a 70 Saturday. He finished tied for 11th with an overall score of 142.

Freshman David Kocher had the lowest round of the day for the Terrapins. He went three-under par with a 69 Sunday to finish with a 143 on the weekend. He tied for 15th, along with sophomore Victor Fox, who shot a 71 Sunday.
