OXFORD, Miss. - The Maryland women's golf team shot its best round of the year Friday, finishing five over par in the opening round of the Rebel Intercollegiate at Ole Miss Golf Course.

The Terps - who are currently tied for sixth place with Memphis in the team standings - were led by Juliet Vongphoumy and Heidi Baek. The duo shot a 72 for par and are tied for 13th place.

Panitta Yusabai scored a 74 and is tied for 26^th place. Brooke Kochevar followed her with a 75 to tie for 35^th.

The Terps return to action for 18 holes on Saturday morning.
