Hey Terp fans,
Hope all is well! It's been a great week for the Terps. Last Sunday was our end of the year banquet, and as a fifth year senior I would have to say it was the best yet saddest one for me. I am so proud of this team and all the accomplishments we've made together! The banquet is a great way for all of us to celebrate and recognize all that we've done this season.
I want to congratulate our new captains!! My sister Kathy Tang along with Sarah Faller and Leah Slobodin will be holding down the fort next year. I couldn't be more excited for them! I know those three will do great things for the upcoming year! If there was one piece of advice I would give to them, it would be to believe in yourself and trust the process. Everything is meant to happen for a reason so just enjoy the moment!
In addition, I want to personally thank you for everyone that has made this such a great year. Special shoutout to Mark Fusiak our athletic advisor, Kristen Brown our associate athletic director, Sarah Pavelko our marketing director, Collen Davis our nutritionist, Angela Robledo our video coordinator and many more! You guys have done so much behind the scene work for us and we wouldn't be as successful without you guys!
Your GymTerps are almost done with school! So we are all furiously studying for finals that are just around the corner. Just yesterday we had a BBQ outside with most of the team. It was a fun way to escape all our worries for a little and bond with the team.
This upcoming week will also be exciting because we will have our annual Terp awards. All student-athletes from Maryland are invited! If I had to describe the experience, it would be similar to the Grammy's for athletes! It's a great opportunity for all athletes to meet different teams and see each sport get recognized what they have achieved for the University of Maryland. There should be some great acknowledgements this year, considering it is the university's first year in the Big Ten Conference. I am looking forward to it!
That's all for now! Stay tuned and follow us on Twitter and Instagram @TerpsGymnastics
With all my love, your super senior,
