Members of the Maryland field hockey team took a break Saturday from the week-long final examination period in true Maryland style.

Maryland natives Olivia Reiter, Maddy Ulery and Melissa Flowe took their Terp teammates Anna Dessoye, Sarah Sprink, Emma Rissinger and fellow freshmen Carrie Hanks and Lein Holsboer to yesterday's 140th running of the Preakness to enjoy one of Maryland's oldest and most proud traditions.

"It was really fun to go to Preakness and see that tradition of Maryland," Dessoye said. "We had so much fun and can't wait to go again."
