Hey Terp Fans!
The end to another school year is right around the corner and everyone's been getting ready for finals week. However the grind never stops and the Gymterps are still busy in the gym, taking advantage of the start of summer and getting new skills! Although it may seem like a lot with school, gym, and lift, the coaches work with us by having flexible work out times to accommodate everyone's class and study schedule.
When we're not at the gym, the GymTerps have been enjoying the beautiful weather Maryland has been having. Some days we go to the pool, or do homework on the Quad, and yesterday, some of your very own GymTerps participated in Kids For Kicks! This was a kickball tournament, run by the team's very own, Dani Kram, to help raise money for the Kids vs. Cancer organization. It was a beautiful day and your GymTerps came in second in the whole tournament and winning 4 games total!
Sunday was not only special because the GymTerps took part in an important fundraiser, it was also our end-of-year banquet! It was really nice with good food and good company. Many individual awards were given out, our seniors were recognized, and there was a recap of the season. Being our first year in the B1G Ten Conference, we knew there were going to be B1G things in store for us. Not only did we beat ranked No. 11 Minnesota (twice), and set multiple attendance records, we made it to regionals for the seventh consecutive time and placed third there—which has only been done two other times in program history!
