Director of Player Personnel

The Director of Player Personnel will work within a team leadership environment. The duties of this position include: coordinate the daily recruiting operational and logistical processes within the University of Maryland Football Program; plan and supervise the execution of a twelve month vision of the recruiting process; identify, collect data, video, transcripts, and other relevant information on prospects to provide direction to the coaching staff through available and permissible sources; monitor permissible recruiting websites; create and update recruiting data and coordinate updates to the recruiting databases; update and maintain accurate recruiting board; monitor the number of contacts and evaluations conducted by the coaching staff and work with the Compliance Office to ensure records are consistent; in collaboration with Admissions and the Athletics Compliance Office coordinate the submission and filing of transcripts for selected prospects; serve as a liaison between all departments on recruiting matters; supervise the planning and coordination of official and unofficial visits to campus; supervise the coordination of private aircraft travel for coaches on the road recruiting; supervise composition of assistant coaches travel calendar for fall, winter, and spring recruiting; monitor and work collaboratively with the staff to keep them updated on changes in the University, Big Ten and NCAA rules; supervise all recruiting analyst personnel and compliment Recruiting Coordinator; and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years successful experience in a NCAA Division I recruiting position or as an assistant coach at the CFP collegiate or professional level required. Proven integrity, leadership, and a thorough knowledge of college football and NCAA rules and regulations is required.
