Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator will work as a member of the Athletics Development staff, reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Development and External Services. The Development Coordinator will contribute in the creation and development of marketing campaigns targeting specific niche markets with the intent of growing the broad base of athletic development supporters; collaborate with the Athletic Ticket Office on all efforts related to the priority point system, report generating, donation requirements, etc. as they relate to annual fund giving; participate in the creation, planning, execution and follow-up of thoughtful and strategic direct mail campaigns, telephone campaigns, and special events hosted by the Athletic Development Office; and other duties as assigned that helps ensure the success of fundraising efforts on behalf of Maryland's student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent years of experience. One to two years of experience working in a customer service, marketing and/or development related environment required. Ability to set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and display good judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. One to two years of experience working in an athletic environment involving development, marketing, or related external relations environment preferred. Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point preferred. Knowledge of or experience with various database systems, including Advance and Paciolan preferred.
