COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Propelled by a national championship in women's lacrosse and NCAA Final Four appearances in women's basketball and men's lacrosse, the University of Maryland athletic department finished 33rd in the final 2014-15 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings.
The Terrapins had a tremendous year in their inaugural season as members of the Big Ten Conference, tying for the league-lead with seven conference championships: field hockey (reg. season), men's soccer (reg. season, tourn.), women's basketball (reg. season, tourn.), men's lacrosse (reg. season) and women's lacrosse (reg. season).
Maryland had 10 programs advance to NCAA postseason play, including three Final Four appearances (WBB, MLax, WLax), a second-straight appearance in the NCAA Super Regional for baseball and an appearance in the Foster Farms Bowl by the football team.
The Terps featured 20 all-americans in 2014-15, including Taylor Cummings, who won the Tewaaraton Award for the nation's most outstanding women's lacrosse player and was also named the Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year. Additionally, Brad Craddock was the recipient of the Lou Groza Award for the nation's best kicker, while Kyle Bernlohr won the Kelly Award for the nation's best men's lacrosse goalkeeper.
A number of teams broke program win records throughout the year:

- Baseball – Wins (42)
- Women's Basketball – Consecutive wins (28)
Maryland students had an excellent year in the classroom, featuring Malina Howard (WBB) and Zoe Stukenberg (WLax), who received the Elite 89 Awards for having the highest GPA at their respective Final Fours. Howard and Varun Ram (MBB) received the Big Ten Medal of Honor, as 159 Terrapins were named to the All-Big Ten Academic Team.
