
Terps Welcome #11 WVU, La Salle This Weekend

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's soccer team looks to build off hits 2-0-0 start with two matches this weekend at Ludwig Field. The Terrapins face No. 11 West Virginia at 7 p.m. on Friday before taking on La Salle at 7 p.m. Sunday.
• The West Virginia match will be streamed on BTN2Go.com and the BTN2Go app via BTN Plus, which will require an additional subscription. Fans can access all Big Ten content on BTN Plus for $119.95 per year or a $14.95 monthly subscription. A Maryland School Pass for BTN Plus, which includes all Terrapin contests, home and away, on BTN Plus for $79.95 per year or for a $9.95 monthly subscription.

• Friday night's match against West Virginia is the Residence Hall Challenge. The Residence Hall with the highest percentage in attendance will win a prize for their dorm.
• Sunday's match is the 2015 Mystery Game. You must attend at Sunday at 7 p.m. to find out the mystery

Quick Hits
• Maryland won its first two contests of the season, dispatching Kent State and Navy. Sophomore Alex Anthony has scored all three of the Terrapins' goals so far. Her first tally of a two-goal performance against Navy was clocked at 13 seconds, the fastest goal in Maryland soccer history and tied for the 20th quickest in NCAA history.
• Anthony's 21 total shots lead the Big Ten and her three goals is t-2. Her two game winning goals is tops in the conference.
• Maryland has used its excellent possession game to enhance its offense while taking it away from the opposition. The Terps have outshot its foes 34-to-11 so far and drawn 14 corners compared to opponents' two.
•The Maryland backline's play has made senior goalkeeper Rachelle Beanlands' work routine. Beanlands sits on 60 career starts entering the weekend, seven starts away from breaking the Maryland all-time record.
•Beanlands' goals against average of 0.86 in 2014 was the sixth-best single season mark in program history. Beanlands' career GAA of 1.10 is the fourth best in school history.
• After an assist on Alex Anthony's second goal against Navy, senior Shannon Collins sits with 15 career assists which slots her t-16 in Maryland history.
• Maryland features six players (Beanlands, Collins, Barger, Fichtner, Gerlitz, Molina) that started all 18 contests last season. All six of those players started the first two games last weekend.
• The Terrapins saw a total of 11 players notch goals last season. Seven of those players return.
• Maryland won both of its non-conference home contests to start the year. The Terps are 10-1-0 at home against non-conference foes under Jonathan Morgan.
Six Named to Leadership Group
• Head coach Jonathan Morgan announced his six-member leadership group for the 2015 season on Aug. 4.
• Seniors Sarah Fichtner, Shannon Collins, Erika Nelson, Rachelle Beanlands, Riley Barger and sophomore Alex Anthony make up the unit.
