COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland volleyball team kicks off the 2015 season with the Red-White Weekend Aug. 21-22, which features the annual intrasquad scrimmage and the Terps' first-ever golf outing.
Alongside the Maryland Alumni Association, the Terrapins will host their first annual golf outing on Friday, Aug. 21, at the University of Maryland Golf Course. Breakfast, lunch and giveaways are included in the registration fees. For more information and to register, visit ter.ps/VBgolf.
The weekend closes with the annual Red-White intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 22. Before the team takes the XFINITY Center Pavilion court at 7 p.m., fans are encouraged to attend a meet and greet with the 2015 coaching staff and players in Heritage Hall at 5:30 p.m. Hor d'oeuvres and drinks will be served. The Terps enter their second season in the Big Ten under head coach Steve Aird. Maryland features an exciting returning corps, including sophomore middle blocker Hailey Murray and redshirt senior outside hitter Adreené Elliott. Fans at the scrimmage will also see the 2015 freshman class of Abby Bentz, Angel Gaskin, Liz Twilley and Kelsey Wicinski for the first time.
