Hey Terp Fans!

The GymTerps just completed their first two weeks of school and their first week of boot camp.  After a long week of practicing and getting into better shape, we got to have a little fun on the weekend with some recruits. On Friday night we kicked our weekend off with a little Zumba and showed the recruits what dancing really looks like! After Zumba we took them to the No. 4-ranked Maryland men's soccer game to let them get the experience of a college student. As they watched the game, some of the upperclassmen made dinner for the team as well as the recruits.  We made lasagna, garlic bread and salad - and of course a few cookies for dessert.

On Saturday we went to XFINITY Center to tailgate for the football game. We had delicious bagels, fruits and yogurt before the game. After the tailgate, the recruits and some of the underclassmen had the privilege to go on the field and watch the Maryland football team warm up before kickoff. After the football game, the GymTerps and the future Terps got dressed up to go to the Cheesecake Factory on the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The future Terps got the opportunity to ride in the University of Maryland bus and got a sense of what it feels like to be a Terp. The Harbor creates a beautiful view of Baltimore and everyone got beautiful pictures on the dock right on the water.

On Sunday morning we went to Panera bread for breakfast before Sunday Runday. After Panera the recruits and the GymTerps went to the lacrosse practice field where the GymTerps began their warmups and said their good byes to the recruits for now until next year. We hope that the recruits got a sense of the pride the GymTerps feel about being a Terp and we hope they feel the same pride next year when they become official GymTerps.

GO TERPS!!
