COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's soccer team travels to Northwestern for a Thursday night contest with Wildcats at 7 p.m. at Toyota Park.

• Maryland dominated possession, but fell 1-0 to No. 15 Rutgers at Ludwig Field Friday night. The Terps hold a 5-4-0 record and have alternated wins and losses since a 2-0 win over Navy on Aug. 23.
• Maryland scored four of its five goals off of corner kicks in a 5-1 win over Yale on Sept. 13. The Terps have the most corner kicks in the Big Ten so far this year with 50.
• Maryland faced Northwestern for the first time in its history last season and came away with a 0-0 draw.
• Maryland has recorded 16 or more shots in four games this season. The Terps are eighth in the conference in shots with 124.
• Senior defender Shannon Collins picked up her third assist of the season against Yale on Sunday. Collins now has 17 career assists, good enough for 11th in Maryland history. Her three assists is t-9 in the Big Ten.
• Collins notched the game winning goal in Maryland's 1-0 win over La Salle. It was Collins' first goal since Oct. 1 2012 in a game against Boston College.
• Freshman midfielder Cassie Phillips made her first career start against La Salle and has started a total of four games. Phillips has played 443 minutes, the most of any Maryland newcomer. She also ranks second in shots with 13.
• Junior Hope Gouterman tallied her first career goal with a sensational 18-yard strike in the 79th minute. The goal came on Gouterman's first shot of the season.

Beanlands continues to Shine
• Sophomore Alex Anthony tallied two goals and added an assist against Yale. Anthony is the first Terrapin since 2012 to notch two multi-goal games in a season (Hayley Brock, Becky Kaplan). Her 13 shots is the best single game total by a Big Ten player this season and she has three of the six highest single game shot totals.
• Anthony's six goals is tied for third in the Big Ten and her four game winning goals is tied for first in the country.
Anthony provides a cutting edge
• Senior goalkeeper Rachelle Beanlands made her 66th start on Friday, tying her with Cailin Mullins (1990-93) for the most starts among goalkeepers in Maryland history.
• Beanlands holds a 1.09 goals against average for her career. That sits at fourth in program history.
• The Littleton, Colo., native has 48 shots, good enough for second in the Big Ten. She is fifth in points with 13.
Six Named to Leadership Group
• Head coach Jonathan Morgan announced his six-member leadership group for the 2015 season on Aug. 4.
• Seniors Sarah Fichtner, Shannon Collins, Erika Nelson, Rachelle Beanlands, Riley Barger and sophomore Alex Anthony make up the unit.

Terrapin Goal Club
• The Terrapin Goal Club is a simple, yet fun way to support the Maryland Soccer program. It will add to an already exciting upcoming season.
• As a member, you will agree to donate a specific dollar amount for every goal scored and shutout during the 2015 season (# of goals or shutouts x pledge= total donation). Supporters may also choose to double their pledge for goals or shutouts during post-season play.
