
Terps Set for Sunday Tilt at Illinois

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's soccer completes its two-match road trip with a clash against Illinois set for 2 p.m., Sunday at the Illinois Soccer Stadium.
- The match will be streamed on BTN2Go.com and the BTN2Go app via BTN Plus, which will require an additional subscription. Fans can access all Big Ten content on BTN Plus for $119.95 per year or a $14.95 monthly subscription. A Maryland School Pass for BTN Plus, which includes all Terrapin contests, home and away, on BTN Plus for $79.95 per year or for a $9.95 monthly subscription.
Quick Hits
• Maryland dropped its Thursday night contest with Northwestern, 2-0. Alex Anthony and Madison Turner both hit the crossbar with efforts in the contest.
• The Terrapins drew Illinois 1-1 in the first all-time meeting between the two teams last season.
• Senior defender Shannon Collins picked up her third assist of the season against Yale. Collins now has 17 career assists, good enough for 11th in Maryland history.
• Collins notched the game winning goal in Maryland's 1-0 win over La Salle. It was Collins' first goal since Oct. 1 2012 in a match against Boston College.
• Freshman midfielder Cassie Phillips made her first career start against La Salle and has started a total of four games. Phillips has played 490 minutes, the most of any Maryland newcomer. She also ranks second in shots with 13.
• Junior Hope Gouterman tallied her first career goal with a sensational 18-yard strike in the 79th minute against Yale. The goal came on Gouterman's first shot of the season.
ANTHONY PROVIDES A CUTTING EDGE
• Sophomore Alex Anthony tallied two goals and added an assist against Yale. Anthony is the first Terrapin since 2012 to notch two multi-goal games in a season (Hayley Brock, Becky Kaplan). Her 13 shots is the best single game total by a Big Ten player this season and she has three of the six highest single game shot totals.
• Anthony's six goals is tied for third in the Big Ten and her four game winning goals is tied for third in the country.
• The Littleton, Colo., native has 50 shots, good enough for second in the Big Ten. She is seventh in points with 13.
Beanlands a record breaker
• Senior goalkeeper Rachelle Beanlands made her 67th start on Thursday, breaking Cailin Mullins' (1990-93) record for the most starts among goalkeepers in Maryland history.
Six Named to Leadership Group
• Head coach Jonathan Morgan announced his six-member leadership group for the 2015 season on Aug. 4.
• Seniors Sarah Fichtner, Shannon Collins, Erika Nelson, Rachelle Beanlands, Riley Barger and sophomore Alex Anthony make up the unit.

• Senior goalkeeper Rachelle Beanlands, senior midfielder Sarah Fichtner and senior defender Erika Nelson were named to the Big Ten players to watch list.
