COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Each week during the 2015-16 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Tom Harris of men's golf. 

Harris won the Janney VCU Shootout last week at The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, Va. Harris won the two-day event for the first individual title of his career.

Harris finished 10-under par in the 54-hole event to seal the win. Harris shot a career-best six-under par 66 in the first round Monday, then added a 69 in the second round. He shot a 71 in the third round to finish with a combined score of 206 (66-69-71).

Harris was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week last Wednesday for the first time in his career.
