The BTN2GO Coordinator will work as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletics Video Services staff, and be under the direct supervision of the Director of Video Services. Responsibilities include: Oversee all streamed live event productions including BTN2Go and StudentU broadcasts; Manage student crew staffing and scheduling; Train and facilitate students on operation of mobile production equipment; Manage on-site operations of StudentU Maryland, and coordinate to fulfill needs of the Big Ten Network; Build game day graphics and other elements to be included in streamed broadcasts; Assist in the filming and editing of small form features on an as needed basis, to include game highlights, and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a video technology related field (RTVF, Video Production, or Broadcast Journalism) or equivalent experience and/or education. Experience in live event production, specifically sporting events. Knowledge and demonstrated ability in non-linear editing. Experience inENG shooting. Demonstrated general technical knowledge of broadcast equipment. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, as well as Final Cut Pro. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends. Experience in production video for coaches at the NCAA FBS level preferred. Proficient with NewTek Tricaster for live show productions and streaming; proficient with web streaming software (Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder); proficient editing with Apple Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with Adobe Creave Suite-Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects; proficient with PC and Mac OS, MS Office; working knowledge of video cameras (HD & SD), microphones, lighting and related production equipment is preferred.
