CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Maryland women's golf team moved up two spots to No. 11 in the team rankings after second round action on Monday at the 2016 Cougar Classic.
The Terps shaved two strokes off their first round tally for a two-day total of 582.
Freshman Xiaolin Tian was fantastic, shooting a four-under par to lead the Terps. The rookie is in 11th place (73-68/141) heading into the final round of play Tuesday.
Ludovica Farina, Lauren Salazar and Panitta Yusabai all posted a 74 on Monday. Farina (70-74/144) is tied for 26th while Salazar (75-74/149) and Yusabai (75-74/149) are tied for 65th with Ludovica Scandroglio (74-75/149).
The Terps will cap action in Charleston with third round play Tuesday morning.
