COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Seniors Welma Luus and Emma Rissinger of the third-ranked Maryland hockey team (15-3, 7-1 B1G) were named to the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game Tuesday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Luus and Rissinger are two of 38 seniors selected for the game, which will be played Saturday, Nov. 19 in Norfolk, Va. at the site of the NCAA Championship. Twelve additional student-athletes were named alternates.
An NFHCA Second-Team All-American in 2015, Luus has helped Maryland to a top-three ranking by leading the team with 13 goals and 30 points this season. Last year, Luus set a Big Ten Tournament record with seven goals in the three-game stretch for the Terrapins.
Rissinger has five goals and shares the team lead with 11 assists this season for the Terrapins. Since redshirting as a freshman in 2012, she has played in all 87 games in her four-year career at Maryland.
TheTerrapins won their third straight Big Ten outright title Sunday with a 4-2 win over Rutgers to close the regular season.
With the win, the Terrapins clinched the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament next week at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. For ticket, television and more information, click here.

Next, the Big Ten Tournament will open Thursday with the Quarterfinals round. The full bracket and game times will be announced Saturday.
Fans planning to attend games Thursday and Friday before 4 p.m. will be directed to park in lot 11B, the lot next to the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, in the first row closest to the field. Fans parked in other areas of the lot or other lots may be subject to ticketing before 4 p.m. Overflow parking will be available in the Terrapin Trail Garage.
