Terps Wrap Up at East Bay Deli Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Maryland men's golf team wrapped up at the East Bay Deli Classic at Kiawah Island Tuesday at the Turtle Point Golf Club. 

Junior David Kocher led the way for Maryland, finishing tied for 22nd on the leaderboard. He earned a combined score of 221 (74-72-75), which was +5 overall.

Freshmen Peter Knade tied for 44th after scoring a 227 (74-75-78), which was +11. 

Sophomore Justin Feldman earned an overall score of 236 (82-78-76) and sophomore Timothy Colanta earned a score of 237 (79-78-80). Sophomore Chris Navarro shot a 238 (78-77-83).

Maryland was one of 22 teams competing, including Augusta, Abilene Christian, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Gardner-Webb, Francis Marion, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Loyola, Memphis, Nebraska, Presbyterian, Radford, Rutgers, Tennessee, Troy, USC Upstate, Winthrop, Wofford and tournament-host Charleston Southern.

The Turtle Point Golf Club at Kiawah Island is a par 72 that covers over 7,100 yards.

The East Bay Deli Classic was the Terps' final fall tournament. They will compete in the Puerto Rico Classic Feb. 19-21, 2017.
