
Six Terps Earn Bids to NCAA Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS – Six members of the Maryland gymnastics team earned bids to compete in the 2016 NCAA Regionals, as announced by the NCAA Monday. Senior Kathy Tang, junior Emily Brauckmuller, sophomores Abbie Epperson, Dominiquea Trotter and Evelyn Nee and freshman Macey Roberts will travel to the Athens Regional.
The University of Georgia will host the Athens Regional on Saturday, April 2 at 4 p.m.
Tang was selected to compete on vault and floor and as an alternate on bars. Epperson will compete on bars and Roberts earned a bid for floor. Trotter was selected as an alternate on vault, Nee will be an alternate on beam and Brauckmuller will be an alternate on floor.
Tang and Epperson will compete in the first group of individual event specialists while Roberts will compete with group two.
Teams competing at the Athens Regional include host Georgia, LSU, Oregon State, Arizona, George Washington and Michigan State.
