As a member of the ICA Business Office, the Coordinator of Business Operations will assist in providing financial and accounting support to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Performing complex professional accounting work such as performing reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, and reports. Processing State and/or Foundation accounts payable, purchase requisitions, and miscellaneous payment requests (MPRs) for equipment, supplies, and services. Reviewing and/or processing financial documents ensuring that transactions are accurate and complete, reported with acceptable accounting standards, and in accordance with University, State, Foundation, Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures. Processing and distributing checks for reimbursements, cash advances, and official payments through the department working fund. Conducting inventory counts and preparing regular inventory reports. Reviewing and reconciling University procurement card logs and monthly transactions. Reconciling and auditing ticket sales reports, petty cash balances, and deposits submitted by the Ticket Office to assure internal controls. Providing financial information to Director of Business Operations and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations by researching and analyzing data and preparing reports. Performing other tasks as assigned by the Director for Business Operations and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations.
Bachelor's degree required. Candidate must have two (2) years of work experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance or a related business discipline. Experience with Kuali Financial System is preferred. One (1) to two (2) years of experience working in a collegiate setting.
