ATHENS, Ga. – Sophomore Abbie Epperson recorded a 9.850 in the uneven bars to lead the Maryland gymnastics team's representation at the NCAA Athens Regional at Stegeman Coliseum Saturday.

Epperson score placed her tied for seventh and tied her second best score on the event for the season in a field made up of some of the best gymnasts in the country.

Senior Kathy Tang competed in two events; vault and floor exercise. She notched a 9.800 on the vault to place in the top15 and 9.700 on the floor. Freshman Macey Roberts rounded out Maryland's contingent and recorded a 9.825 on the floor in her first appearance in NCAA Regional competition.

LSU won the regional followed by host Georgia. Both team advanced to the 12-team NCAA Championships.
