
Terps Ready for the B1G Championship

COLLEGE PARK, Md.—The Maryland women's golf team is set to compete in the 2016 Big Ten Championships this weekend in Indianapolis.
The tournament will start on Friday with golfers playing 18 holes and then playing two more sets of 18 on Saturday and Sunday. The Fort Worth Golf Resort will host the tournament. The course is a 6,221 yard, par 72. The field will consist of all 14 Big Ten women's golf teams, four of which are in the Golfweek's Top 50. These teams are Northwestern (#8), Ohio St. (#29), Purdue (#32) and Michigan St. (#34).
Northwestern and Ohio St. each shared the Big Ten title last season after shooting a three-round score of 863.
The Maryland squad has been led this season by juniors Alexandra Papell and Ludovica Farina and Ludovica Scandroglio and will look to perform well again in the Big Ten Championship.
The lineup for this weekend will consist of Farina, Papell, Scandroglio, Brooke Kochevar and Jessica Gregory.
BTN coverage of the tournament will begin on Sunday, May 1 at 11 a.m.
