Family: Husband Jason (married in 2004), daughters Morgan (7) and Finley (4)
Current Occupation: I have been in real estate for the last 15 years, centralized in Howard County, Maryland, but also servicing the surrounding areas. My office is located in Ellicott City and I am with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
Position on the court: Right side
Most memorable game: Probably playing in Cole Field house when we hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament. The ACC championship game was also quite memorable :)!
Are you still involved in volleyball? I play in a few leagues currently. I did play consistently for about 12 years in the Chesapeake region, playing club for Team Heineken included former Terps Maren Stuart, Tania (Nagl) Turano and then later Stephanie (Doiron) Tyler and Teryn (Papp) Zmuda. For about 8 years we won the Chesapeake regionals. We also competed in the US national championships every year. Great team, lots of fun post college!
What was your least favorite drill in practice? Probably "the pit" (I think that was the name) where you against coach in a two minute defensive drill where you can't let ball drop.
If you could give advice to your college self, what would you say? Keep having fun, work hard , and continue enjoying this once in a lifetime experience!
Are there any players with whom you keep contact? Yes, Jaime (Summers) Kingsley who was in my wedding and I are still close, Maren Stuart, and others. Facebook helps stay connected since everyone is so busy with work, families, and life!
Teammates that you lived with on campus? Jaime Summers, Tania Nagl, Lindy Burgon, Kim Adolphs, and Chantel Johnson.
Did you have a favorite warm-up song to get you pumped to play? Embarrassingly, probably "Around the World" by Daft Punk
Why did you choose Maryland? I loved the campus, I loved how big the school was, the athletic community here, and the proximity to home as I wanted to be close to my family.
Anything to add about your time at Maryland? I loved my experience, the people I met and all the places we went as a team. I wouldn't trade it or change a thing as it helped to shape the person I am today.
