COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland women's soccer assistant coach Yewande Balogun earned her MBA from the University's Robert H. Smith School of Business last week.
Balogun started the program in Fall 2014 and completed the two-year program in 21 months. The former Maryland goalkeeper tailored her classes to focus on human capital management and organizational management. She began a career in sales and finance, but ultimately decided to return to soccer as an assistant coach at American.
Balogun balanced her coaching responsibilities and the MBA program over the last year. Former Maryland players Bailey Bodell('13) and Megan Gibbons ('13) are also pursuing graduate degrees in the University of Maryland system.
The Robert H. Smith School's MBA program was ranked in the top-50 in the world by the Economist and in the top-25 in the United State by the Financial Times in 2016.
