Terps Host Second Annual Golf Outing

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland volleyball team hit the links on Friday morning to host the Terps' second annual golf tournament along with the University of Maryland Alumni Association.
More than 70 golfers joined the Terrapins at the University of Maryland Golf Course to help support the team and the alumni association.
“It was great to be able to take a break from preseason training for our golf outing,” head coach Steve Aird said. “Our players and staff have the opportunity to meet and hang out with Maryland alumni and share the vision for our program.”
Participants joined the team for breakfast before beginning with an 8 a.m. tee time. The Terps and golfers also had lunch at the course.
Maryland will be back in the gym to continue preseason workouts Friday evening. After one more week of training, the team will compete in its annual Red-White Scrimmage next Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m. in the XFINITY Center Pavilion. Fans can meet the team and coaching staff over hor d'oeuvres and drinks before the instraquad match at 5:30 p.m. in Heritage Hall.
The Terps open the 2016 season on Friday, August 26, with the Maryland Invite.
