The Information Technology Team Lead reports to the Director of Information Technologies in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) at the University of Maryland College Park (UMD).
The Team Lead will coach all members of our student service desk to produce the desired results and goals of the organization. They will work closely with campus IT and 3rd party vendors to implement new technologies and services for Intercollegiate athletics.
The duties and responsibilities include: determine feasibility of, schedule, manage and oversee technology projects in conjunction with the Director of IT; create and encourage methods of feedback from staff, coaches and students to improve communication, customer service and solutions provided for all customers; create and implement communication plans for technology changes, updates, security and general information; communicate regular progress updates to the Director of IT; manage annual technology refresh projects; manage and maintain Google, Apple and Windows devices through their respective admin tools; provide Tier III support for Full Time and Student Worker support staff.
Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field or equivalent experience, education, and/or training in an IT-related field and at least three (3) years of IT related experience.
Excellent customer service and client relations skills required.
Experience leading and/or managing small teams. Experience with project management. Windows (7, 10), Mac (10.9-10.11) installation, configuration and administration. Experience managing and maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy. Experience managing and maintaining JAMF Casper deployments. Experience with Google Domain Admin Console, Google Chrome OS and Google Cloud Print. Experience with StatBroadcast technology, Daktronics, Stat Crew, and other Game Day operations systems preferred.
